It's disheartening to see how many students these days have completely zero school pride. They don't feel about their community, they don't engage in programs, and they just seem uninterested. It's like they've disregarded what it means to be part of a group and cheer for their fellow students. This lack of enthusiasm is negative to the entire school culture.

Not My Alma Mater
When I hear the words "alma mater|my old school|the click here place where I learned}", it doesn't evoke feelings of warmth and nostalgia. For me, it's a distant concept. Maybe because my time there were so different, or perhaps I simply haven't had the time to reminisce. Whatever the reason, that phrase doesn't hold the same meaning for me as it does for others.
It's not that I haven't appreciated my time at school. It was a period of growth, just not one that resonates in the way many people describe.
Perhaps it's because I made my passions away from the traditional school setting. Or maybe it's because my memories are defined by specific experiences. Whatever the case, "Not My Alma Mater|My School Is Different|This Isn't My Old School", and that's perfectly okay.

Seriously, school/the whole idea of/that thing they call "school spirit/spirit week/pep rallies" is about as appealing/relevant/interesting to me as a moldy sandwich/root canal/trip to the dentist. I'd rather be practicing my guitar/reading a good book/taking a nap than wearing school swag and participating in lame competitions. Just let me learn and be

Let's be real, sometimes gathering/ chilling/hanging out with people/ friends/squad is all about the spread/ feast/ bounty! I mean, who can resist a good platter/ selection/ assortment of tasty treats/ goodies/ munchies? It's like a buffet/ an oasis/ the promised land of deliciousness/ yumminess/ pure snacking heaven. Give me pizza rolls any day! I totally prioritize/live for/am here for those snacks/ goodies/ bites that make a gathering/ hangout/ party truly unforgettable.
